Most fun I've had all season! My lease has been barren all season. This morning I had 70 or so ringnecks come in right at legal. It was fast and furious 9 minute limit of rings with one mallard drake. Sure wasn't pretty but better than a scratch!

I tell you that drake looked drunk and slow compared to those rings! It started cupping from 200 yards out and was moving slow as all get out. Those rings are quick and much more of a challenge to hit. I don't care what anyone says but those ring drakes sure look cool!

Went to Richlands Chambers and all we saw were very large groups of reds. We think they were from California b/c there were only drakes in all the groups. Just two or three hens total. bolt

Ringneck ducks are good to eat. They have a diet higher in vegetation than most diving ducks. With all ducks, I cut off the breast meat, and soak it overnight in milk. I usually fry it, but have made gumbo.
