Any suggestions? Not looking to spend a fortune, but something with good lumens and dependable - nothing "cheap." Thought I would see what you guys have tried and loved. Thanks.

I run a Surefire X300 on several of my pistols. There are brighter lights now offered.

TLR-1 is good at 300 lumens but the TLR-1 HL is ridiculously bright at 800 lumens and I think only $30 more. Think I spent $150 on it total.
I also have a cheapo $25 NC Star light that has lasted for 8 years now. Not all that bright but better than clearing a room with a candle.

I got the TLR-1 HL last year, and it is very bright. I think amazon had it for under $150 with free shipping

TLR1 for a Glock is way more than anyone will ever need. Its what I use and I couldn't imagine any reason why the HL would be needed on a handgun. The HL is incredible as a rifle light though!

HL is almost too bright for indoors. You can see whats in the beam, but outside the beam gets washed out. Great outside though.

I have a cheap one from Walmart. I think it is a Protec and cost $50. I've shot a couple of night matches with it and it has held up well.
The secret to a long life is to try not to shorten it.

I have had a TLR-1 mounted on my duty pistol for 10 years now. It's taken a beating and it shows. I recently tried a TLR-1HL and gave it back because it wads foo bright for indoor use. It would almost blind me due to flash back, but they are great outside

This is going to be used outside, so HL for now. Might look at another for indoor
