I am in the hunt to get a SBR I am wondering should I build my own as buy pieces and put them together or buy something like the Daniel Defense DDM4300S.
I am kinda stuck. I know I would want this SBR to be nice so any parts I bought would be top quality.

What have y'all been running and how well does it cycle etc.
Pics would be great.

I built my own. Shoots great. 5 shot group with Aimpoint T1 at 50 yards.

I'm with KRoyal. And electronic Form 1s typically process faster than paper Form 4s. That would be a big deal to me.

I built my own.

Build it yourself. Even if you want a matching upper and lower its still a better, easier deal to do it yourself. You can customize all the parts and install everything yourself easily.

For example, I bought a Noveske stripped lower, Noveske complete upper, Daniel Defense rail, Spikes LPK, Geissele trigger, Magpul furniture and just assembled everything myself with basic tools. Now its a unique Noveske rifle with top end parts.

I finished this one a while ago. Its all Wilson Combat parts except the CMC trigger. Right now it has a pinned 14.7" barrel in 300BO but I'm going to stamp it to SBR soon.

Bullpup! Tavor SAR. Short length with a 16" or 18.5" barrel.

There is a 300 blk Tavor available soon if you go that route.

Building the AR lower is pretty easy. Build your lower and then buy a complete upper.

Ok I am just gonna go form 1 and build myself. Would you go with billet lower? I really like the look of the seekins.

Do it right the first time you can't change it lol. If I had to do over again I would have gotten a billet seekins for sure.

I think forged vs. billet is more of a preference thing and you really cannot go wrong with either. What I would make sure though is that you've got a fully functional, high quality lower with some rounds through it before you SBR it. Just food for thought.

Yes it is preference and billet is also heavier than forged. Mine runs like a top and its just a PSA forged lower.
