Has anyone used the Slash Arrows. I shot a deer a couple of weeks ago with a Slash Arrow and my brother asked me if I had shot the buck with a rifle. Major internal bleeding. The Slash Arrow has a secondary set of blades imbedded in the shaft. They work great... wonder about the experiences of others.

Great looking deer.

Regarding the arrow, I cannot comment based on any sort of experience. I saw them advertised on a TV and assumed they (1) were another gimmick, (2) wondered about the spine, arrow flight, accuracy etc given it had the second set of blades embedded in the shaft, and (3) wondered about penetration and pass-thru. All that said, I am glad you had a good experience and look forward to see what others post.

Must have been a gut shot? I don't see any holes in chest area.

How was the flight? That thing looks wicked. I'll stick to my gold tip and reapers but that thing just looks mean

Looks like the arrow would suddenly stop once the 2nd set of blades made contact. Hard enough getting a pass through with just one mechanical when any bone is encountered.

The 2nd set of blades do not open until they are inside the animal. That is why the arrows maintain their kinetic energy.. The 2nd arrows DO NOT cut hide or hair... They cut soft internal tissue....

I shot the deer quartering to me right behind the right shoulder. The exit wound is about 2 inches off of the picture... Not a gut shot.

May be your selection of broad head, I killed this deer this year and one last year with basically the same shot, shoulder bone was involved in both and a pass though occurred on both. Both deer died within 50 yards.

Guess I could have just gotten lucky but I think broad head selection is the key.
