Easy blood trail to follow. After two bucks this season with no blood trail (we found them anyway......we were lucky), it was nice to see blood.

We could have had a third if my friend had gotten out of bed. Too much Tecáte on Friday night.

Nice we have an extended season for doe and spike. Always nice to be able to pack our freezer totally full! Nice pics!

It is a great thing. It's also a great time to let the kids shoot and try different weapons. lol

Second best part of the year. We need to cull the herd, and a great time to take friends to the lease.

At our family ranch, we take our friends, but at my lease we're not allowed to take any guests (even though the lease-master took his 40 year-old nephew for three days two weeks ago. But that's another story!)

Nice! We have been collecting a few does every weekend also. We put off shooting does this year till the late season and it seemed to help keep our pasture much quieter and the deer from freaking out all the time.

My wife shot a doe Saturday morning with 7 other deer out and most of them never ran off and all but the one that was shot were back eating within 5 minutes, that impressed me for late season.

We still have one more weekend to have fun with deer in South Texas.
