My bud took his new Pulsar XD50A for a test drive last night. Bison Armory upper in 6.8, using 120 gr SST. My favorite kind of hunt, we had been in the stand about fifteen minutes when he showed up. Moon was so bright we were spotting with nocs across the pasture. He video'd the hunt with the Pulsar and UNDVR, same DVR I use on my IR Hunter Mark 2, Don't know when I'll get his video but for half the cost of the IR Hunter MK2, I'm impressed with Pulsar XD50A.

Nice job!
What was the distance to the hog and to the deer?
I like the fact that the deer didn't run off. Sometimes they do, sometimes they don't.

I like the fact that the deer didn't run off. Sometimes they do, sometimes they don't. Blind to feeder is aprox 130 yds. Blind to closest deer aprox 170 yds. Blind to deer along fence, the group of four is aprox 340 yds. Along the treeline where the feeder is, running left to the fence where the group of deer were, is a 30' wide strip of wheat. After dark my observation is deer pay little attention to a single rifle shot. I've whacked hogs with deer bedded 30 yards away happily chewing their cud, and multiple deer bedded across the pasture. I've never seen one even stand up at or after the shot. I've whacked hogs with deer grazing only ten yards from the target and not run at the shot. They look at the dead hog and I'd swear they have a grin on their face.
