What off season? There is coastal fishing and exotic hunting, varmint hunting, lease maintenance, etc. I keep busy all year long.

Going to try and beat last years 67 hogs. Quail coming up in two weeks Then I will freeze hunting snow geese Hunting sheds always takes up 7-8 weekends. Turkey Dove Exotics always
I think whitetail season in the most relaxing and the easiest. But that may have something to do with the fact that I am no good with a shotgun.

Just have a good time at the ranch. A lot of handgun practice, bit of working on blinds and feeders. Hog, squirrel and rabbit hunts. Camping out. Evaluate last season set ups, make changes, etc. get it all done before May when heat hits. Other weekends are spent fishing for sand bass, crappie in spring. Just a relaxing good time with my young adult sons.

I was just out your way picking up some girl scout cookies for my daughter Friday night. The cookie lady lives of Hide A Way St..They live on Moonlight Bay..

My relationships with landowners in the area is often more of a partnership, which means I spend many weekend days during the off season helping with equipment and livestock. I have found it provides great "therapy" at a fraction of what it costs to see a professional.

High School baseball till May/June depending on playoffs then select baseball from CA to CO to GA to FL and all over Texas till August. After that, I can start getting ready for next deer season.
How come everybody I meet is a deer hunting expert?

Pigs, and varmint calling, and setting up an Aoudad hunt for the VP of the group my wife works for, an Axis doe hunt, and maybe a spring turkey hunt. Work on handload development for my new 300WSM and my son's 300WM. After that we will switch over to to focusing on camping and mountain biking and kayaking and fishing. Never a dull moment!

Taking clients quail hunting next week and planning a few turkey hunts, but after that I won't think about hunting much until late August. My family likes to spend winters in the stx brush and summers at the beach. At some point I'll blow the dust off my golf clubs for a few rounds to help justify my pointless club membership. Heck, truth is my waking hours are allocated 75% work, 24% keeping up with wife and 3 kids, and 1% doing the stuff we talk about on here. I'm envious of some of the folks that have put more of a priority on their hunting operations. Maybe one day I'll get back to that.

Roller chopping, shredding, prescribed burns and some new senderos. Fix roads and creek crossings, clear areas along high fence and repair any entry/escape routes. If there's any time left, varmit and hog hunt, bass fish and hunt for ancient artifacts.
