Where would you say the highest hog head count per acre is in Texas? What county? East Texas up on red river? West Texas? What are your thoughts?

 asked same thing in a thread while back....  tis on the ignorance list, no replies... See were some land owners have put up a bounty for hogs...

Tough to say. I hunt roughly 325 acres in west Texas and it's not uncommon to see 40-60 pigs at a time in my wheat field.

WMA's running 365days/yr on hogs are over on the Tex/Louis border. I think that's a pretty good indicator. Also, there is lots of bottomland and forest there.

I wouldnt know how you could come up wi[b][/b]th a number per acre. But I have seen heavy numbers and sign near seguin, jacksonville, wichita falls below the lake, mt vernon and honey grove.

I dont know but I hunt in Mason county and I have seen two different groups (on separate ends of the lease) of 30+ pigs.
