Roger that I have my CHL now. You mentioned "by law" the dealer has to wait for the NICS clearance. Did that just change recently? Last I new the law said if you were delayed you only had to wait three business days not including the date of transaction to hear back, then by law the firearm had to be released. Store policy could always say no release until cleared though. Even the manager at Academy told me the law says 3 days but store policy says no relase, even if that meant months before they heard back.

Oh and my beef with Academy was their store policy, that and I don't care much for their gun selection anymore anyway. Nearly impossible now to find a rifle with a wood stock there and they won't even order for you.
