What is your opinion on acquiring a pointer with an under bite? Not to breed.

As long as not for breeding if it is a good bird dog I see no harm in owning it.

Sorta what I was thinking. Just didn't know if there were other issues to worry about.

The best bird dog I ever owned had it.

I have a Spinoni with a overbite. It did not effect his nose! It did not effect his ability to retrieve. We did neuter him and would never have bred him, but he is a great dog. He is now 14 years old and slow but he still wants to hunt. smile

Shopping with your husband is like hunting with the game warden.
Experience is what you get, when you didn't get what you wanted.
