Might also try some of the on line data centers from the powder mfg'ers that offer caliber specific info. I use Hodgdon & Reliant frequently for info.

I really like the Hodgdon site's data for rifle and pistol, Alliant seems to be better for shotgun reloading.

I have a Sierra. Let me dig it out. What powder are you thinking about?

I'm another 300 Savage shooter and QuickLoad user. Just for sport, I ran the numbers through the software to see what choices would be generated. If you are interested, here you go: 300 Savage Sierra 165-grain SPBT

My 300 Savage is a 1949 Remington 722. Love the rifle! Shot this sow on Saturday night about 8:30 pm with a Speer 150-grain HCRN using 42.0-grains of Varget for 2635 FPS.

Late to the party again! Thanks RD, that gives some more powder choices. BTW, mine is a 1952 Savage 99 with vintage early 60's Leupold.
