Shooting a rem 700 16.5".308 w/ 1 in 10 twist and YHM Phantom suppressor. Beck says the 168 will not stabilize in a 10 twist subsonic and to go with the 208. Max 100yds, any suggestions? PS the 168s shoot great supersonic.

I'd try shooting some first and see if they keyhole or anything. Would hate to have a baffle strike, especially if an ammo manufacturer already advised you it was likely.

What's your intended target? 208 will pack a lot more punch at that speed.

I don't understand how it will stabilize a 208 but not a 168. It should be the other way around. It should take a tighter twist to stabilize the 208. I know 168 match kings do not like transitioning from supersonic to subsonic due to the boattail angle but when started subsonic it shouldn't be an issue. Maybe one of the suppressor guys will chime in.
