I have a Weatherby Orion SSC that I want to start shooting some skeet/trap with (for fun, not competition). The only chokes I have came with the shotgun and they're both modified chokes (3 hash marks) and sit flush with the barrel. I'm looking for either a full set or just a couple improved chokes but don't want to spend a fortune on Brileys. Anyone have any other recommendations? I know I can shoot clays with the modified but would prefer something with a little more give until I become more proficient.

The Accuchokes that fit Mossberg, Winchester should fit. Verify yourself as I am not a gunsmith but I did stay at a Holiday Inn once.

They verified that the Accuchokes do fit as well as Winchoke, Invector and another I didn't catch. .735 bore. Thanks!

Skeet or Cylinder for skeet...your Mods. will work fine on trap unless you back up to the 26 yard line (or close). About 90% of Sporting Clays can be shot with Improved.

I use Carlson's and Trulock. I find them to be better than OEM chokes.

I had an old shotgun fitted for screw-in chokes years ago. But I didn't want IC and Modified, so I requested two other chokes. I got one in (going on memory) Light Modified and one in Improved Modified, so I'd have the choice of a bit more open than Modified and a bit tighter than Modified. It worked out great.
