I really have no idea what this cartridge is. What is the advantage? What is it's strong points and what would be it's closest cartridge? I know and have the 6.5 but is the 22 wildcat of something or what. Thank you

It is a wildcat round, fast stepping usually built with a barrel that can make use of the heavier higher BC .224 bullets. Case capacity is a bit more than the 220 swift and is capable of velocities higher than the Swift. There are several wildcats that are similar, 22-243, 22 Midlestad (sp), 224 TTH are a few of them.
they make for a good flat shooting low recoil hunting or target round that is quite effective on game.

We take a 6mm creed down to 22. Basically leaves the muzzle slower than the swift with lighter bullets but because of BC will pass the swift at 320 yards and have 10 inches less drift at 500. Similar dope to a 300 rum with 180 Accubonds. 900 foot pounds at 500 yards and it in a short action cartridge.

so that's why DStroud is always grinning in his pictures. Has it been tested on a gas gun? Is there a big difference between bolt and gas with this cartridge? I sold my 22-250 and thought maybe this would be worth looking into?

Can you please explain how you get you brass for a .22 CM? You use .243 brass? Is anyone making 6mm brass? How do you "neck" down the brass?
Thanks,
Mel

I get 6mm Creed brass and neck it down with our custom die sets. I ran a 22-243 in an ar platform, about the same deal but it never cycled quite right. And as the bullets ramped in it always messed up my seating depth
