I just bought a new mojo and charged the battery for 12 hrs. I'm pretty sure I synced the receiver correctly with the remote. The green light on the mode button lights up when I hit the button on the remote, but it won't turn off the motor. Any idea what the problem might be? Thinking I may need a voltmeter to check the battery, maybe a loose wire from the receiver to the motor?

I don't remember having to sync mine or anything, worked fine out of the box, just charged it up. Mojo itself needs to be turned on (battery charged), before remote will work. You can also just by pass the remote, and just use on and off switch on mojo.

Luck Duck has a three way switch. Position 1 activates the remote use. Position 2 is off and Position 3 is always on and disables the remote feature I guess in case you lose or forget it you can at least work it that way.
Of yours is the same you just need to move the rocker switch.
