The Nugget Company does a good job at a pretty good rate (they have done about 20 for me). Generally their hides are pretty soft and pliable. But "soft tanned" I am not sure of.

I'm not sure of the difference between tanning and soft tanning either, but I used Schotts for an axis hide and was happy with it. It wasn't a "stiff as cardboard" result, so if that's soft tanning, I guess they do it.
