I think I've seen a green light you can attach to your feeder and it shines down on the pigs so you can shootem. Poor mans IFR...

Where are they sold, are they motion activated, do they work???

Now that deer season is over, I would feel a little better hunting over lighted bait.

This one works excellent. I plan on adding at least a couple more to my collection.

Heck even white lights work. The hogs get used to it quickly.

I've used this one from Harbor Freight: http://www.harborfreight.com/60-LED-Solar-Security-Light-69643.html

There are, of course, others.

I'm trying some solar LED spotlights for $10 each from Walmart. They come on at dusk and I was in the blind at 0615 last Friday and it was still on --but dim. I'm going to upgrade the batteries to get little more light. Seems the pigs figured out that my motion light with a green filter was a signal that bullets were going to fly soon, so they scattered every time it came on. Hoping the constant on lights will allow more shot opportunities.

Before purchasing night vision, I used the cheap solar path way/sidewalk lights from Lowes. I zip tied 3-6 of them to the t posts holding my feeder in place. I would simply scan with my binos and it was pretty easy to see the pigs. I mostly shot vitals with this setup, but on a night with a full moon and the lights it was pretty easy to take head shots. Total cost per light is 5.00-6.00.

I use the plain white solar powered yard lights. I put them in pairs and use 3 pairs per feeder. I keep one turned off on each pair. They usually last from dark until about one. Then i run over and switch the other ones on. It takes about a 2 days for new hogs to get used to them. From what i have saw over the last few years. You can buy em by the case on ebay really cheap.

The solar yard lights work great. I have several. The ones on a feeder that I hunted from a few years back were still working when I went to get the feeder going again. I did add a green lens to the light, but they fell off after a few months, the pigs didn't care, they got accustom to the white light right away, they still show up. Heck they even come to the feeder that is near the security lights near my shop.
I started just putting one of the bigger yard lights between the blind and the feeder, about 20-30 feet from the feeder. It covers a much bigger area and shines on the pigs from the same direction that you are looking from. Putting them at the top of a T-post so they would shine down and cover the entire area under the feeder works better.

I prefer the dusk to dawn vs. motion sensor lights. They method pigs get use to the lights quickly and you'll killing pigs at night with no problem.

i tried a green expo erasable marker on the lens for color a few times. I dont even bother anymore. I am gonna see about wiring a switch up tho so i can turn the fresh lights on and not have to leave the blind.

I got one from home depot that has a battery pack and has a solar charger and is motion detecting for around $50 and looks like a street lamp. Bought a wild game innovations light and it was the biggest p.o.s.Biggest waste of money

The green light is moonshine feeder light second edition. Much better than the first. And 29 bucks. The white light is a Home Depot 29 dollar deal. Neither one spook hog or deer.

I once drank muddy water out of a hoof print and was dang glad to get it.
