Being a novice with electronic stuff, who makes a good and simple to use DVR that I can use with digital night vision.

I'll second the UNV DVR. I initially bought an Angel Eyes DVR off ebay to record my videos but the quality is low and it is a bit of a pain to operate when in the field. The UNV dvr is much better suited to hunting conditions and easier to operate in my opinion.

Understand that pretty much all are made in China (or their internals are) and none of them are actually recoil rated. So the harder you mount the unit to your rifle, the more recoil it will endure. UNV has a pouch that allows some movement, hence dampening the impact on the unit.

Ultimate Night Vision calls it the MDVR. I have like 5 of them. DNS is right, get a pouch that allows it to absorb the recoil. Order it with the MDVR or make your own case, just make sure you do something.
