That's the IMR 4350. Totally different powders. The IMR 4451 is the equivalent is the H4350.

Sorry, did the ammoseek.com for H4350 and did not catch it pulled up IMR. No they are not the equivalents.

I read somewhere that H4350, IMR4350, and AA4350 were now all made in the same factory -- same thing, just different labels. I don't know how long ago that happened, though.

All I'm told is comes from Australia. Lol. But local reloader said try AA4350 as a 2ndary

I just looked on the Hodgdon site and see that it has info for both H4350 and IMR4350, so I think Hodgdon has bought out rights to at least market IMR powders. But the loading data was quite different. In one example it showed a max charge for IMR4350 of 52.0 grains and a max charge for H4350 of 47.7 grains.

I also have looked in cans of IMR4350 and H4350 that I purchased recently and they definitely look different.

Yea the IMR 4451 is the closest thing to h4350, If I understand correctly. U r correct the own the rights to it I do believe and r marketing it as there new powder

Actually found 50lbs locally to me. My friend loaded some bullets with the imr4451 and shooting better groups with that powder.

I hate shipping powder cause the hazmat fee sucks! But if I can find cheap enough I don't mind. Lol

I'm sure you meant 5 pounds as 50 pounds is most likely above the federal mandated amount you can safely store.

How do you get that IMR4350 is "significantly" faster than H4350 from that chart? Burn rates are not listed -- powders are just listed from 1 to 150 according to relative burn rates and IMR4350/IMR4451/H4350 are at numbers 115/116/117.

I won't list numbers, but I have a .25-06 load that is sub-max and I interchange IMR4350 and H4350 and can't tell the impact difference at 100 yards.

I'm not saying they can be used interchangeably, especially when you are working near max, but I don't think the difference is large.

Just shooting wise the IMR 4451 has edged out the h4350 after 20 load development shots. Will know more soon.....
