Wife and I discovered this great place just outside of Dennison. Stayed in their cabins, ate elk and Bison in the restaurant and shot tons of sporting clays. Fantastic place !! $250 for huge room for the night, 200 rounds of shotgun shells, golf cart for the course and breakfast. Sporting clays included in price. Has an indoor pistol/rifle range but we didn't use it, have to call on when it's open as manager said they don't open it when special events happening on property but there were lot's of folks shooting yesterday, goes to 100yds. I heard him say it is $17 per hr.

Can you provide any pictures of the cabin? Also, is there anything for a non-shooter to do? Thinking about taking my wife, but she isn't interested in the shooting activities.

They have tours of the game areas, bison, eland, sika, blackbuck, axis, elk, Asian water buffalo, whitetail,etc... The ranch manager took wife and I out in his pickup, wasn't really an "official" tour but they really go out of their way to please. I've got a pic of cabin on my phone, I can text it to you not sure how to post here if you want to pm number. They also have a facebook and website. I wouldn't say there are any activities for her but it has a restaurant and full bar with outside patio with a huge fireplace we hung out at with wife drinking wine. For her it would be more of relaxing in the country and even if not shooting she can ride in golf cart with you and launch the clays with the remote. We live in the country and it was even quiet for us and a beautiful setting. They have ponds for fishing but I didn't do well with minnows. One guy was there from in town and he went on and on about walking all over with his dogs.

I don't think we took a pic of inside the room, had 2 double beds, flat screen tv (we never used), room was huge and so was the bathroom with a monster (to us) walk in shower with head on the wall and ceiling. Just asked wife and she didn't take pic of room. Awesome patio furniture too. 2 rooms of each 4 plex (2) face the water, 8 rooms total but our first night it was just us and New Years day there was only 1 other guy and he was in the other 4 plex. Their site said rooms are 800 sq ft and I believe that !! They said most of their business is corporate retreats. Lots of big game mounts in restaurant lodge, mainly African that owner of the place killed. Floors in rooms are stained concrete, we also took our own pillows on 2nd stay since we like our down pillows. We paid the same for a plain, loud room in Ft. Worth stockyards which was nothing special at all. Oh, each of the 2 4 plexes are about 100 yds apart. The ranch manager, Jeff, showed us a blind out where all the animals are that they are attempting to offer a "blind date" where they drop you off with food and drinks (from restaurant) and you can watch the animals come to a feeder. It's a big elevated blind with table and chairs for dining and watching. He said it's in trial phase as one couple blew it and started making noise when the animals showed up and they got excited, even though they are fairly domesticated to their pickups he said they will bolt if on foot or making human noise from the blind.

Also the bison burger we had for lunch was outstanding, the buns were over the top and they said they make them there. Mine had shitake mushrooms, fresh spinach, horseradish pickles (and I don't normally put pickles on my burger but they were great) mayo and fresh mozzarella cheese. For supper we had eland meatballs for appetizer elk T bone and bison ribeye first trip and this trip crab cakes for appetizers wife had duck and I had bison ribeye again. Couldn't finish mine, with her wine and a few draft beers it was $110 plus tip. For lunch 2 bison burgers with fries (fresh), 2 draft beers and tea was around $40. Burgers were $15 which we felt was pretty reasonable for what you are getting, heck Chili's costs us that.

Their facebook page has a lot of photos, including of ones inside the rooms and all are accurate representations of what's actually there.

Great review. Jeff is certainly good people. You'd be hard pressed to find a nicer guy.

I couldn't agree more. Obviously loves what he does.
