Are there any places in Texas to hunt low fence sika deer? Would like to try it next year in January. I suppose they have a lot of broken points then.

I booked my sika hunt with Mile a few months ago and had a fantastic time!!! We saw five bucks, but the biggest one kept getting away. We would go back to his area a few hours later and look for him again, find him, and he would give us the slip again. Then we would go look over another area of the ranch, find something, but never as good as the first one. Finally he made a mistake and ran out across the open area instead of into the thick cedars allowing me that one, quick running shot that I was able to get lucky on making.

This was near Sonora TX. We stayed in a hotel there and drove out to the guides house where we got into his truck and drove to the ranch we where hunting on. I never saw a fence. The ranch is on both sides of the paved road, which we drove down fairly often getting around.
