Nope, OC just not my cup of tee. But, I promise, whoever 'they' are, I won't come looking for any trouble.

I will not open carry, only concealed for me! I believe that the attention open carry draws will do nothing more than cause many many more businesses who previously allowed concealed carry to start posting no carry signs. The truth of the matter is that there are millions of Texans who are not gun owners and who may feel intimidated by those who carry openly, and that is their right to feel that way. All it will take is a few complaints to the management of businesses before they decide its in the best interest of all their customers to prohibit firearms. Not everyone agrees with the concept of more armed citizens is safer.
I think the open carry folks are happy they got open carry but I believe it will come at a cost of many more businesses saying no to carry in general. It's already happening, And only a matter of time before many more follow suit!

I doubt I will ever open carry unless I am in route to hunt and need to make a quick stop.
As of today I have yet to see anyone open carry and in my area I have not seen any stores add a 30.06/.07 to any stores in the Frisco area.
But I haven't been out much and not looking for a open carry

Well our local Denny's has put up a non legal size 30.07 sign. Never liked the syrup or coffee so no big deal. But I expect the list of places that will allow OC to be much shorter than those that don't really soon. If so someone please tell me, what did we really gain? The ability to walk down the street with a pistol on our hip but can't go in any stores or restaurants? Somehow it seems a little hollow.

Seems like open carry takes away your tactical advantage. I will continue to conceal.

And I suspect that trend to continue. People in Texas seem to be afraid of guns now. I moved here from CA years ago to get away from certain types of people.
But they are coming here now, like locusts coming to destroy the next field......
A Democracy is when two wolves and a lamb vote on the dinner menu. That is why this country was specifically not designed as a Democracy. We are a Constitutional Republic.

Explain to them how long you and others have done business with them while carrying concealed, without any problems or issues. It could be that they only care about excluding open carry, but they got both signs, so they put them both up.

No OC for me. I don't need the extra attention and I like the element of surprise I retain by concealing.

It could be that they only care about excluding open carry, but they got both signs... In some cases I bet the people buying the signs don't understand the law and are duped into buying both by the, probably anti-gun or also lacking the legal understanding, person selling them... "Oh you need both to keep open carriers out".

I'll be practicing my right to Open Carry. How about y'all. I hope they don't come looking for trouble I want you to repeat this 1,000 times "I will not give up the element of surprise" Now seriously say it to yourself 1,000 times. The element of surprise is one of the most important things in a combative scenario and giving that up is very very dumb in my honest opinion. Don't be a wolf in a group of sheep, be a wolf in sheeps clothing. Not to mention what this is going to do, and mark my words because it's already starting to happen. Too many mullets from West Virginia are going to leave their trailer park and go out and about where families are trying to have good time and they're going to cause concern. business's will start posting signage banning guns within their premises. This means fewer places to carry, which means a higher chance of law biding citizens NOT being able to defend themselves, which is the OPPOSITE of carrying. I would love it to be as easy as just educating the public about guns and getting everyone comfortable with them but the truth of the matter is in 2016 people aren't like they were in 1916. Just chill while concealed. My 2 cents. .
The only way a government can provide you with something is to take it away from someone else. There is only one thing government can give you that doesn't come at the expense of someone else, and that's freedom. - Thom Tillis
