We have duck call makers, duck carvers, friends, good beer and good food. This trip started hard and the hits keep coming.

I am low on battery so her it the story.

Blow out on fish boat. Got to port lavaca, got me a tire.

Get to POC AND launched fishing boat. It died and had to be towed in by the toasties. Took it to shop. It will be ready tomorrow. OUCH!!!!!!!! They told me the bill.

Ok let's go duck hunting. Wonderful hunt. Fun hunt! Fired up boat and subsequently destroyed the drive belt.

Txduck24, Captain Kendricks hooked me up and got me towed in. Thank you Captain.

It has been a tough one, but who cares, I got good folks around me. Good times!

Fog scares the crap out of me so far as navigation. Since it was terribly foggy we stayed close to town. The fog kept the big flights pinned down. It actually helped us as we shot singles and extended the a great morning hunt. Yesterday was a fantastic shoot.

Well this morning started off right Guide Brandon Currie put his group shooting some redheads, a bluebill and a pintail! Plenty of birds in the area just needed some more hunters to get things popping!

Nice haul Brandon! It has been steady brutality on the redheaded birds. As soon as we put out the decoys they start coming. It has been a smashathon to say the least.

I got up early and started the gumbo. I got the stock brewing right now.

Well the weekend is gone and sounds like there was some fun this weekend!

Guide Brandon Currie put his group on a solid diver hunt! Over the three days they shot redheads , pintail and a blue bill! Even had a banded redhead in the mix for one of our guests!

It was a fantastic weekend. I had a feeling the "Mechanical Happenings" weren't over. Tire blew out on the Airboat trailer. 10 miles from home. I am thankful it was only a tire and it didn't rip the whole fender off.

Good people, good fun and good hunting.

My group got to hunt with capt currie and hunter and had a blast. Each of us took home trophy birds and one got a band also. We meet wal,Garrett, David speer and hogman sat evening. We had a blast eating the gumbo and visiting with everybody. They are friendly and down to earth bunch of guys. I want to thank wal for getting this started and for the duck call for my son and for showing him how to use it. We are already making plans for next year. The condo we stayed in was great also. Three bed room, two bathrooms, full kitchen, dinning table, living room with satellite tv and a huge deck. This trip will never be forgotten by my group it was that fun.
