We have been extremely busy over the holidays, whether it was hunting or doing family stuff! With this recent front we have seen a influx of birds but still lacking the puddle duck action! We're still grinding taking full redhead limits with some scaup and other ducks in the mix!

No offense, I just don't get how or why people pay to shoot two birds....

Sometimes it's not about how many you shoot but the expierence.

Normally on a coastal hunt you're hoping for more birds to show up. Even when they don't, on most average days that you shoot your two redheads you also get to see a whole lot decoy that you don't shoot. It smells like salt in the air, ya got birds coming in to the decoys, they splash down, swim around, some even take a short nap, you try to see how long they will stay or how loud you can get before they leave. You eat some good seafood for dinner and see a lot of other non-waterfowl sights and sounds. Lots of birds down there this time of year of all colors shapes and sizes. Unless the skies are empty you can take turns and shoot one redhead at a time picking out drakes, slapping each other on the back.
