Headed up to Erath county to hang out with my good friend Mike (ErathKid). Hunted Friday evening, sat morn and sat evening and never seen anything but birds from the blinds. So this morning I decided to just take the AR and do some spot and stalk and it paid off. I came up a hill and immediately heard snorting and pigs eating corn about 100 yds away. It was still too dark to even see them so I hugged the wood line and got within about 40 yds when a sow started walking towards me. I couldn't see color but I could see the shape and knew it was a pig so I put the red dot on her head and let the AR eat and she was DRT. I heard a bunch of other pigs running and crashing through the woods so gave it a few minutes to see if anymore would come out but nothing. I then headed about 300 yds to another feeder location and stalked up to 2 more pigs. I shot the first one and it's back lega tucked but it began to run off so I shot it two more times it was a nice size hog then the other hog comes running back out to the feeder like he was checking on his buddy and I shot him 2 times and he ran into some cedar thicket which I wasn't going to snoop around in but I heard him crash and start squealing the other was also in some real thick cedar so I left them for the yotes. All in all a great and productive weekend.
This is the first sow I shot and only pics I took
