im looking for a 20 or 12 gauge new or used for under three hundred dollars any good idea's on what brand and mode i would prefer semi or over under thanks

I could be wrong but I don't think you could get an O/U that is worth owning with your budget. It won't be easy to find a semi either. Maybe a Stoeger or a TriStar?

If you look around a lot you can probably find a good used 1100 in that price range. With hunting season going out the window shotguns usually get pretty cheap in the pawn shops. I have bought decent 1100's for $250-$300 a few times while out messing around.

I agree with the others, forget about an O/U in that range. You might find a deal on a semi auto, but you will have to put in the work to find it. Honestly, you are in nice pump gun budget.

In that range, you could probably find an H&R Auto Excel. Good shotgun. I bought one at a Cabela's doorbuster event for $250. I think they normally retail for $300 or $350. I like it a fair amount, although I've recently supplanted it with a Beretta Outlander.

mossburg 500 i paid something like 400 for mine it came with 2 barrels on was a bird barrel the other was i for get what they call them cantilever barrels i believe has the scope mounts on the barrel for a more accurate shot you dont have to rezeor your gun get time you take the scope off because the the barrel and scope are together i have both the 20 12 they have taken a lot of deer to include 3 this year on ft hood with this new hornity sts amo i dont even know how far it is good for i know the spike i shot was 138yrs according to my rang finder i just aimed a 2 inches higher i was zero at 100 you can still get this combo for 350 at a lot of places i bought mine in 1997 and they still shoot great mine have the 3 adjustable check prices 2 chokes it came with 2 barrels rifled open sights or rifled scope barrel and a bird barrel 28in i believe it is in ny that i all we can hunt with is shot guns so they got a lot of use I want a lot of slug throughing connotes and local rod and real clubs it is an extent gun even the army uses Mossburg 500A
