I bought a used 1050 a few months ago. I ran it for about 1000 rnds and it started missing primers about 3 or 4 out of a hundred. I cleaned the primer feed and still have the same issue. Anyone have suggestions?

Thanks. I have talked to them a couple times about other issues. Just haven't gotten to that one yet.

Clean the primer slide as well as the primer tube. I also usually take a 45 case or stack of washers on top of the primer rod to add some weight to help the primers feed.

Also, at the bottom of the primer feed tube is a red, green or blue plastic piece that has some round "wings" on it that holds the primer before it goes onto the primer slide. The wings on this plastic piece sometimes gets chewed up and causes feeding issues which leads to priming problems. Check to see if the wings on this plastic piece is in good shape. If they are chewed up, you will need a new one. I order 10 of these at a time in small and large so I have enough for spares to feed my many 1050's. This is a common priming problem when the plastic piece gets chewed up some.

Thanks Chad. This is good information from all. I have been pretty busy shooting a new Ruger Precision Rifle I got on Saturday so I haven't got to the Dillon yet. This info is much appreciated tho.

Re: The plastic tip at the end of the primer tube
DO NOT over-tighten the knurled ring at the top. Doing so will twist the plastic tip at the other end and you either won't get any primers being fed or you will get lots of primers dropping out at the same time. You just want it slightly past first contact, and not snug or tight. Also, be sure the plastic tip is keyed in the slot before you tighten the lock nut. Next, be sure the rubber (brake line) tubing (P/N 14990 Slide Roll Pin Sleeve) is on roll pin and that it isn't torn/worn.
