 Barrel threading near Ennis Texas ?

Does anyone know of a gunsmith that's reasonable for threading barrels? I've tried finding someone but havnt had any success. The only few I've found are way too high. Wanting over $100 to thread the barrel seems high. I'm wanting to thread a 22 barrel to 1/2-28

Ship it to to Morgan at class 3 machining. Or drive to see him in rowlett. $50 to thread.

Ship it to to Morgan at class 3 machining. Or drive to see him in rowlett. $50 to thread.

Shilen is close by. They're top notch. If the Morgan is the Morgan I'm thinking then run. Run far and run fast. I only know 2 people that have used him & both got screwed around over and over by him.

Is he the Morgan who used to advertise on here about building AR's & doing trigger work?

$100 is crazy. I do them for $50 for a threading job, and $75 if they need to be cut/crowned, but I'm in Abilene.

And yes one place in Waxahachie told me $150 with a thread protector ! That's pure robbery !
