What would you do? Wanting to change the 223 upper to either a 7.62x39 or the 6.8. Which one would you do? Just to have a different setup to go to for deer and pigs. Any suggestions helpful.

My experience the 7.62 can be hard to find the right ammo magazine combo. I'd do the 6.8 but even it will need new mags as well.

Short range 6.8 or if you want all around better IMO go 6.5 Grendel. I have 18" barrel and it has absolutely flattened everything I've shot with authority....

6.8... Or buy lots more .223 for the cost of the upper.

6.8SPC... very useful and makes a great deer/hog rifle

300 Blackout? Could use same bolt and mags as 223.
Just to make sure that it is done thoroughly, I go both ways.

6.8 will only require changing the bolt and magazines. Great round and much more effective on larger game than 223/556.
I was wrong...on anything technical. Fitz............. is right, ya know............

7.62 & 6.8 can use same mags
