My grandfather has a place in Menard and has seen Axis deer many times. I was hoping to get one this year but haven't been lucky enough to see any. Well, he called me last night and said he saw a herd and a black buck with them. My sisters fiance's family lives in the area as well and says his dad saw one recently. Anyone else sighted these?

I'm hoping a mature one will roam through my place and decide he wants to hang around a bit. 'Saw a doe once, by the house. By the time I figured out what she was, she turned and boogied. Low fences with holes in or under them is, I believe, how they come to be on other folks' property.
