I dropped my gun off at the shop to have the triger and they were doing something to the bolt the guy i have been coming there since i moved here in 2003 and as a retirement gift he called it because i in insisted on paying for the work he wouldn't take it so for less the 200$ he is redoing the trigger something to the bolt i for got what and glass bedding piller method on my savage i know its a savage axis why put the money in to it well because it shoot so well i dont care it was cheap i care about how accurate it could be so i have money left over no i could just give it to my wife but he had a howa 1500 270 for 300$ its 2yrs old owned my an older guy who shot a free boxes out of it then he had heart problems and it sat in the gun case he cant hunt do to health so he sold all his guns the shop owner said i can have ti for 300 if not it was going on the floor for 125 he could but a break on it and it would be able to shoot it i tried to look up what it was worth online and how well it shot the action was wonderful the trigger was adjusted alway done to just shy of2lbs the shop put it to 2.5 for legal reasons he said but will let me put it back be he wont do it. when i look it up online for a price for it i get answers form 300-1500$ about what is a fair asking price for it i thought 300 was a good deal but if they sell for 500 new its not that great of a value i was i thought but worth buys and doing the muzzle break and give it to him to make it a tack driver like the one have and gave to my younger son its rem 700 and i love its a great gun nice action i love the trigger pull wood stock i gave it to my younger son to hunt next year with i am sure my dad had some work dont to it that was the way he was he did his 22mag to but from what i can tell it is just a triger job I bout the same one they shoot the same just the tigers feel different

I am still thinking of also buying a 7-08 I just want one on top of the 270 i just dont know of what i want i was thinking of the moss burger with the flouted barrel and bolt and wood stock wich was a plus but not a deal breaker weatherby vanguard 2 is like 540 the savage 10 was on my list too have alway been a fan of savage and stevens i just like they way they shoot. but this time dont want to spend more then 600 or i can my an axes and have ti done the way I want for less but i have an axis and i love the skin neck on the stock it feels like i have really good control that is what told me over the rugger not the price but the way it felt my price is not over 600$ for the 7-08 does any one one a few suggestions i sound look at i would like a nice triger pull wich is why i thought of the savage 10 with the accutriger like i have on my 30-06 and my sones 25-06 i like the bold action on the hawa and the weatherby now not bad wither the mossburg wand nice and light it felt good an for 80$ more i can get a wood stock but not sure how they shoot i will take all considerations and go to the shop and fell them all out tueday when hunting season ends i still have a doe and buck tag to fill and i just have staturday sunday and monday to fill them hunting for dear is done for the 31-1st you can hunt hog but not deer. thanks for all your help

300 is an ok deal on the howa but not great. You can find them around 400$ all day

If $300 isn't a great deal why would he pay $400?

what o they sell for new i will probably buy it even it it is 100 cheaper i met the precise owner he was walking with a walker so the shop is not making up how old it is and i dont believe they guy is lying about how many rounds he put through it how much are they new i kept getting a wide rang of price from 300-1500 depending on the web site I alway took hawo as an expensive gun or is it just this model my buy it and a new weatherby vanguard2 in a 7mm08 from what i hear i dont have to do much to it to make it shot in under moa even though i would want to make it less then it if possible I like the savage 10 trophy as well i am just up in the are about the 270 i am leading towards it but i want a good shooting 7-08 and there is not a lot of info out there on them so i am asking the members here what they would choose i dont care about the name i care more about how ell they shoot the how1500 my not be an expensive gun but it all felt really smooth the moss burg was like and comfortable to hold and for 500 it comes with a wood stock i am a big fan to the rem 700 as well my last wone was a great shooting rifles but my son has it now i apricete the feed back on the howa the pawn shops what in the 500s for a used 1500 i called them all around here as they all said the same thing

The Howa is a nice gun. Both Weatherby and Nosler use that same action on their rifles.

The price is good, too.

I don't think I said he should pay 400$. I believe I said 300$ is an ok deal, you can find them all day for 400$.. meaning saving 100 is an OK deal but not great.
