  Looks like a red deer or a hybrid of some type. Hunting in Camacho county and it's the first time I've seen one.

I cant find a tag in the pic and I dang sure wouldnt be able to see one in the pasture with all the weeds and brush. We had a guy on our lease on the Comanche/Brown county line, that swears he shot at an elk looking creature several years ago. We have been making fun of him ever since because he always got so freakin shook up and missed countless deer and always had BS stories. Maybe he wasnt BSing that time.

Yep...got 6 or so that size...I might be late to this but tech you are supposed to call county sheriff/game warden and make sure there is no missing red stag...then it's fair game if not..

If I remember correctly, it has to have a visible tag or marking. If it doesn't have a visible tag or marking, it is legal to harvest. We called the GW about 3 elk on our place and he told us the same, if there isn't a visible tag, have at it.
