got low on powder. Been using Unique and W231, but all I could find today was Universal. Looks about the same burn rate as Unique. Some of ya'll are probably using it for 9mm, 38, and 357 Mag, which are what I Load for. Any comments?

I have a few pounds I was using for shotgun loading but I put it back for a rainy day and found something else to power the scatterguns after I read a lot of very positive comments on it as a handgun powder (during the height of the ongoing powder shortages). I would be surprised if you didn't like the results as a sub for Unique and 231.

Have used lots of Universal Clays powder as well as Clays and International Clays in shotguns and handguns including the rounds the OP mentioned. Very consistent clean burning powders. I think you will like it enough to not regret not finding the Unique or 231

Used in it a .380 and liked it as well as WW231. Burns very clean, better than Unique in this regards. I have switched away from Unique in everything except .38 special. WW296 is a much better powder for the .357/.44 mag and its available, I restocked recently. Since CFE pistol is becoming more readily available I am going to try it for grins since I load all of the above too. It might make a nice reduced load in the .357 with the lighter jacketed bullets.
