I shot a small feral hog Sunday evening, probably about 40 lbs cleaned. I have it hanging but it's supposed to get up to low 40's today in Abilene for 3 or 4 hours. Think it will be ok to leave hanging? Thanks in advance for the advice!

Yeah, I thought I had seen on a similar post a while back that bacteria starts forming at 50 degrees. I tried to find that old post though and couldn't. Guess I need to sneak away from work and get it on the smoker.. Lol

throw a bag of ice in it and it should be ok, I've done that with deer and a 150 pound pig and it was fine over night. worst case scenario hang it from a tree out in a field and coyote hunt off of it
