I am looking for a new blend for wintertime performance. I ran across this. It is a 32/25 blend. It has a high rating of 4.5 on a 5 star rank on Dog Food Advisors. Has anyone tried this blend for their dogs?
Thanks,

Gave my dogs gas and the shits. Didn't care for what it did to their coats either, I went back to Pro Plan Performance. But that's just me, I'm sure it works for most people.

Same for us! Really loose stools and horrible odor.

Purina has a been a big sponsor of a lot of bird dogs events over the years. I've stuck with them. Never tried another brand.

I have no experience with the Diamond blend you mention, but many swear by it. In any event, I suggest when trying any new food, buy a small bag and blend with your current food over the period of 5 or more days. If all goes well with the transition, then feed 100% of the new food for a month or two and gauge results (desire to eat, performance, weight gain or lack thereof, stools, etc..).
Bill is right about Purina. They pour money into the performance dog circuits. All of us that run in those circles, appreciate their support.
I ran the gamut on Pro Plan for my dog, and wanted it to work, but by age 2 I went elsewhere - to Orijen. Do what is best for your dog.

I have been giving diamond natural (blue/white bag) for over a year now to my lab and my wifes bichon. Its ingredient wise not much less wholesome than blue buffalo. Both of them have excellent results.never run winter time performance. I usually just up intake for winter time especially if im duck hunting.

Gave my dog the worst gas I have ever experienced, had to open windows and doors a few times to air the place out. Switched very quickly to Pro Plan with no problems, and no more gas.
