I want some opinions on a leupold vx hog 1-4x, Nikon p223 1-4x, and Bushnell ar 1-4x. I'm leaning towards the leupold. It will go on a 16" lr308 to replace an eotech. Which would you prefer and why.

I'd pick the Leopold for the superior warranty. I know they're overpriced for the glass, but I also know that they've fixed two or three scopes for me promptly and without question. That's worth a great deal for a piece of equipment subject to heavy use.

SS 1-4X or SS 1-6

Tough as boot leather, dang good glass, reported no BS warranty though I've never had to use it even after torturing my SS 5-20X.

This

You won't regret it.

I'm in need of another fixed 6 myself.

They are good scopes. I have a fixed 16 on my 300 win but it's just out of my price range for now.

Believe it, or not....

There is actually a budget friendly option for a "quality" optic.

Look at the Weaver K Series.
They are even made in Japan... NOT China.

I have been running a fixed-6 on my 300blk for quite some time and it has been great.

Millet DMS 1-4 if you want a cheap, durable scope.
MTAC 1-4 if you want a more expensive, user-friendly, higher quality scope.

The secret to a long life is to try not to shorten it.

We sell all three you are considering where I work. IMO the VX-Hog is head and shoulders above the other two. To my eyes the glass is better and just as important to me is the reticle. The Pigplex reticle is a very slight modification of the German #4. For me the German #4 reticle is the best one for low light and fast target acquisition.

Can't speak to the SS, never used or looked through one.
