Been here for 45 minutes and have seen 14 deer including 3 bucks. Looks like perhaps a little late rutting action... One doe looks really popular.

We did not. Trying to get my daughter on her first buck. Ew7 bucks and 22 deer total. We had a trophy 6, 10 inch G2s and probably 18 inch beams that she was going to take but a smaller buck was in front of him for 5 mins and then the big 6 walked into the woods. We're looking forward to the morning!

The deer really moved well this afternoon. It should be a really good morning with the colder temps. Good luck cheers

the second rut starts weekend after Christmas every year. just stinks that the first weekend in jan is the 2nd and 3rd.
seen some nice one during this rut and usually buck never seen before. wish I was out. I'm down recovering from a torn tricep. good luck they will be moving all day.

Well, she popped out of bed with no problem whatsoever....nothing like a school morning. grin She must have been dreaming of bucks! Waderaider...you are right about the bucks not seen before. Out of 6 of the bucks, I can safely say we've only seen one of those this year. The 7th was 450 yards away and I couldn't make out his rack very well although he was legal. I saw the big 6 last year a couple of times but he wasn't 13 inside....this year this was the first time we've seen him and no doubt he is legal. We're off in a minute to get him!

Good hunting to all this morning! Noaa Weather app says 37 degrees and 0 mph wind at our stand this morning.
