Hello and Merry Christmas! My son and a few others from church are looking to go in on a lease particularly that has a good amount of Hog and maybe even deer. We live near DFW if anyone knows please let us know! We dont smoke or drink and respect hunting to its totality. Thanks!

"It is the same boiling water that softens the rice, which hardens the egg." It's not always about the circumstances, but what you are made of....

Welcome Tommy!
You realize you are asking for a unicorn property, right? You want a good lease with a lot of animals for a group of people near one of the wealthiest areas with some of the highest population density in the state...and you want it on the cheap. There is nothing wrong with this. It is something 1000s of other individual DFW hunters want as well in the DFW area who are trying to get a place to hunt or improve their hunting situation, doing the best that they can to find individual slots open on leases, but you want to find a place that has a lot of slots open.
You need a church or a BIL deal. You need to find something through a relative of one of your hunting group that isn't currently on the market. That is going to be your best bet to achieve your goals.

I love this forum I am learning so much valuable vocabulary! I have one person speaking to me in parable and now Unicorn property! Doesnt get much better! So what I am looking for is not that far fetched and its not a whole church congregation I am brining. Its 4 people total! I have seen them range from 1500-4000 a year! Thanks for your help and comic relief this is classic!

Two words that don't go together: inexpensive and lease. with that said, what's your definition of inexpensive? Leases I'm my area are going for $8-10 per acre.

That sounds good do you own the lease or have contacts? I would love to get something near dfw. Realize I am new at this as I recently relocated to TX! Thank you!

Here you go, listings within 150 miles of NE Dallas. Prices are about $1000-$4000 per gun. Some are short term and some are annual. https://huntinglocator.com/leases/state/Texas/?search%3Alease_zip=75238&search%3Aradius=150&search%3Alease_price=&search%3Alease_game=Hog
Maybe you will find your unicorn.

if you revise your request with something like
"looking for a hunting lease near DFW for X hunters, willing to pay $1700-$2500 per gun"
someone with land or lease openings may reply
other option is day/weekend hunts

It's too late this year, but you could always register for the TPWD drawn hunts. It's cheap and with a shot in my opinion.
