Words of advice...
If you shoot one in suburbia and have neighbors that are close, make sure you shoot it in such a manner that it dies quickly.
Nothing worse than running after a screaming wounded cottontail in your neighbors front yard while school children are getting off the bus... not that I have any idea what that's like. ^^^ This right here I got my first bow in middle school. Our yard was always covered in cottontails. One afternoon, I had the genius idea to shoot one with my shiny, new bow. To make a long story short, the damn thing runs into the neighbor's yard across the street. The cottontail gets stuck in the neighbors hedges because the arrow is so dang long. The neighbor was outside getting his mail and yelling at me to get off his lawn as I tried to dispatch the rabbit. A few months later, the same neighbor got arrested for shooting at a repo guy coming to take his car. If I would have known the guy had a temper, I probably would have left the rabbit in his hedges and not gone over at all.
