What kind d of trigger do you prefer? Seems like everybody who has a flat trigger loves it. Buying a timney here soon. Just not sure.

All my high end triggers are curved. I just don't like the look of a straight trigger.

I like the idea of a flat trigger, but only if it has the hook on the bottom such as the CMC. I bought a Velocity curved trigger be aide their flat trigger had no lip. I think the lip is useful in helping to locate your trigger finger. I could be over thinking it though

I have also heard he argument about how a trigger in a rifle moves vs how it moves in a 1911, hence the flat trigger in a lot of 1911's. I understand that, and it would seem as if you would have better control in a rifle with a curved trigger. Just speculating

I like flat triggers but haven't spent the money to change in any of my guns.

Never have had a flat trigger on anything.
Rifle triggers are hinged, and do not slide back. Knowing what I know as to how vital trigger control is, I could see the finger slipping vertically on a flat trigger, thereby hurting trigger control.
I too am speculating.

I've got a CMC flat trigger and like it fine but it does take up some space in front of the trigger and I would think shooting with a heavy glove might be somewhat challenging. I've got several of the curved and honestly don't notice the difference. Also, with a flat trigger, I would be careful if you were going to use a BAD Lever as it would potentially increase the probability of an AD...just a thought.
I was wrong...on anything technical. Fitz............. is right, ya know............

I'd prefer a curved trigger. Especially a nice setback trigger, curved to match the trigger guard, that appears to almost touch it.
I've seen some weird triggers on air rifles, with what appears to be a hinged trigger shoe and etc. Unless i were a competitor at the highest level, and it resulted in a noticeabke improvement, I wouldn't put something like that on a gun with a sporter stock.
However at that level I probably wouldn't be shooting a sporter. On a gun with an ar-style stock and a vertical pistol grip, that would change everything.

I have no experience with flat rifle triggers either. It seems to me that with a flat trigger, consistent placement of your finger might require more concentration. Another way of looking at it is that you would have more options about finger placement, and could slide your finger down toward the tip of the trigger for more delicate control. The front trigger on my Mauser's double-set trigger is European style, with a slight re-curve or bump toward the bottom. I have found this bump to be very useful for precision in pulling that trigger, which is just a few ounces when set. I'd like to try a flat one out, someday.
