Mostly, 10x42 Leicas. If I'm stalking and walking through brushy country, I tend to lean toward a Pentax DCF-SP.

If you're chained to a cruel, unforgiving budget--as most of us are--never scrimp on binos. Experienced riflemen have found that they can get along nicely with a Ford rifle and a Chevy scope. But the binocular will be a Rolls Royce......always.

I have a set of Meopro HD 10x42. Real nice. I think I would have been better off with 8x42.

Don’t roll those bloodshot eyes at me.

I bought a pair of Redfield Rebel 10X42 today at Academy for $149; if they had the 8X42 Vortex I would have bought them but none in stock BUT the Redfields have what I think are great clarity, very bright, easy to focus. I only considered Redfield as I have heard good things about their scopes and so far I really like the binos. West Texas hog hunt this weekend so I will have a great chance to give them a field test with lots of room to glass. Did not include connected caps but I'll diy those and make them my own.

Looks like lots of folks carrying big glass. I am using 8x30 Kite's. Small. light, and very clear/sharp.

I use 10X42. I think that's the most amount of magnification that I can hand hold. I've never desired less magnification. I've been told that some of the newer 12x and 15x binos are big enough to hold steady. I might try some of those some day but I'll probably always have the 10x42s for the compactness.
