Had a referral by a neighbor's Game Warden son to use Hess's in Lindsay, if I can score on the Late Season Ink's Lake GDA hunt I drew this year.

Bigtime easier to get to for me than Kuby's, or Sulak's in Clifton, to pick up the meat, like I had planned originally. Anybody got any comments on Hess's? I am totally unfamiliar with them.

Hess's in Muenster is a great place, great people; Brothers to Fischer's now; Used them alot.

If there's a Hess's in Lindsay, I've never heard of them.

Hmmm??? I'll have to double check the neighbors directions description again, but he was specific about the Lindsay location, north of 82 and right behind the Auto parts house. I'd heard of the other processor location in Muenster next street or two east of Fischers, with good reports....but Lindsay is closer to the Hwy 289 @ Hwy 82 corner I have to use to get to I-35 than Muenster is. Thks I'll check it out.

OBTW the recc came from the neighbors Game Warden son, and they dropped off a doe they'd taken last weekend on the way back from out around the caprock lease.

It could very will be, Hess in that area is a common name; I'm not saying it isn't so, but just saying the one in Muenster, north of 82, is good, for game or beef. If you go there, get some pepper poppers, a delicacy.

Its a different one in Lindsey. The directions are correct except 289 is Sherman way... Owned by retired local area game warden.

I have tried a dozen different searches. I can't find any meat processors in Lindsay at all. There isn't much of Lindsay north of 82 and the only business I can find behind it is storage units.

The only Hess business listing in Lindsay is Hess Trucking and they are not north of 82.

K777 OK ...now it begins to make sense, and why the neighbors GW son sends this guy some business. I gotta go check this out if this frea'qin Rain will ever stop.

FWIW I live a block and half off Hwy 289 up on the peninsula...and it is my only north south access road down to the rest of Grayson County and the World...except by boat.

I use Hess in Muenster, they do a good job. Took a cow to them back end of the summer.

MD GTK...was surprised to see the price list for a cow ...I'd need a much bigger freezer for sure

My neighbor stopped by and dropped a couple goody's from the guy in Lindsay TX from his last doe I was asking about...called " Wild Country Game Processing", at 1200 Chapparell, Lindsay TX.

They look just like Fischers on the menu. I wish some of these guys would do some specialty sausage like Kuby's. I normally take one deer to Fischers as I like their hamburger cut with beef fat the best and two deer to Kuby's for the breakfast sticks and fajita sausage. Both do great jalapeño/cheese summer and smoked sausage though. Besides ground, I need a variety to make it a year with 120 lbs of meat.

We have our Steers processed at Hess off of Mesquite Street in Muenster...Wonderful Group and have always been Happy

Hesse's and Fischer's are good. kubys is too high for me.

Bluebonnet meats in Trenton makes the best sausages though, any type or flavor or size. Tremendous quality and value and close to home
