Well, 3+ years of scheduling, 60+ hours of driving...countless $$ spent, whining, making friends, and never having a hog hunt come together with the correct ending...and tonight, It all worked. Through the magic of THF and others like it, I've met and hunted with some great guys. Today, I finally got to shoot my first hog, and I did it suppressed, through my x-sight, and even with a pulled shot, my .300 AAC and some Hornady soft points got the job done!

Congrats. That is a good looking first hog. My first hog was a small one that was maybe 50 lbs. I should have cooked that one but I was just getting into hunting.

Bigger than any hog I have taken, (only five piglets, 2 shots and a sow running through a field later that day  )
