I just can't figure out this whole premature gray thing started appearing at 2. I even took him to the vet. He said it just happens like in people.

Jorge my 4 year old weimaraner has the same graying around her mouth. Started a few years ago. She's healthy as she can be, vet said basically the same thing yours did.

Our two at the end of Christmas Day. The unlady-like nut on the left is my wife's. The always-on Chihuahua in a Blue Lacy's body on the right is mine.  They don't really hunt with me, except they're deadly on squirrels in the back yard. The lacy spots them from inside. The lab catches them in her mouth when they fall.
