Thanks to a Christmas bonus, and my wife being willing to just give me the money she planned to spend on my Christmas gift, I just drove out to SWFA and picked me up a SWFA SS 12X42 mil/mil(Jason just smirked) and a set of TPS 30mm low rings. The only bummer is I have to wait til after deer season to mount it, since I won't have a chance to go sight in before my next hunt.
Skylar was great on the phone earlier. Just a few minutes of listening to my desires and budget, and he nailed the suggestions I think. I'll be calling him next time I need something.

Not sure what that means, but, thanks! It just meant I liked how you posted about sfwa being open and then you posted about what you got...the before and after...just poking a little fun at your posts and how excited you are at your bonus buy. Hope you enjoy the scope

Ahh yea! I got ya. I'm one of those guys who always talks myself out of what I really want for one reason or another. Usually price, or impatience. But I actually got exactly what I wanted this time. So I'm pretty excited.

Will do! After I get the bottom metal inletting fixed. (I think the previous owner used a sledge hammer and a chisel.) I'll try to find the money to come see you. Derrick is going the fix it up for me after deer season is over.
