Anyone else see these? They look pretty awesome for an affordable weapon mounted rangefinder. I did some reading about it on other forums and it seems as though you basically pick a range to zero the laser and then that will always be the setting you range with. So for example, I could take my 300WM and use my 500 yard dope of 2.6 mils. Zero the laser at 500 yards, then each time you want to range something you just dial to the range you used to zero the laser, range the target, dial the adjustment it shows on the display and take the shot. It comes with a pressure pad so you never have to come off the gun.

I am not sure if I want to spend 1k to weapon mount it, versus 500-600 to handhold one. For hunting I think I would rather have a hand hold unit, to save weight on the gun.

To me there is a huge benefit ranging with the optic I have on the rifle and a laser. I always try to put the best glass I can afford on my nice rifles and my main rifle right now is wearing an S&B 5-25x56. I think for ranging hogs, coyotes and prairie dogs it would be very useful. I think in some scenarios I'd rather range using my scope with amazing clear glass and the stability of the rifle instead of a handheld unit.
