Any recommendations of where to eat in Lubbock? I like JJJ's but haven't seen much else.

Cagles steak house, Cast Iron Grill for breakfast/lunch but not open weekends. Bryans for a cheaper steak, it has been around for 40 years I think. I like Autlands (sp?) on 50th between Elgin and Boston for Mexican food but you gotta take your own beer. Those are some local places I like. Most of the chain restaurants are here your pick.

Orlandos has good Italian, the green chile chicken pasta is great, also the potato and green chile soup.
Cagles or Double Nickel for Steaks
I hear Las Brisas is good too

Josie's for breakfast burritos
One Guys for pizza
Caprock Cafe for all around good food

HHUUMMMM, what to write, what to write, I got nothing.

For a cheap, greasy, dang good burger hit Bonus Burger on 50th street. Get the rings with it. Cap rock and Blue Sky are good but BS is pricy for a burger.
Montelongos on hwy 84 is good Mexican food, also Taqueria Jalisco, Arandas, and Nora's.
Steaks, my order would be Double Nickel, Las Brisas, Cagles, 50 yard line.
Red Zone cafe on Slide is a good cafe.

I go to Bryans but the steak won't be as good as Cagles - no where near the same. But it's inexpensive and good. I go there because I used to go to family steakhouses like it when I was a child...hell I went to THAT steakhouse when I was a kid so when I go home to see the parents I invariably eat there.

Lots of good places mentioned above (Orlando's, One Guy, Josie's, Cagle's, Blue Sky, Caprock Cafe, etc) I would also recommend a couple of relatively new places:
Teddy Jack's-Burgers, Pizza, Sandwiches,Beer, etc.
Evie Mae's BBQ-Actually located in Wolfforth just a couple miles outside of Lubbock. Only open for lunch 3-4 days a week, but hands down the best bbq I have ever had in Lubbock.

Las Brisas blows Cagles out of the water, it is pricier and a little more upscale, however.
Caprock has good cold beer and free peanuts.
Chocolate Mousse Pie Bar on 82nd is outstanding if you have a sweet tooth.

The Shack on Frankfurt has good bbq. I've ate Las Brisas twice and have yet to be impressed. The same for Bryans but I only made it there once and it was enough for me.

Seoul Korean cuisine on 50th for something different.

For dessert go to J&B coffee on 26th and get the masked rider. It's a coffee, chocolate, ice cream drink. So damn good.

Jazz on 19th is pretty darn good Cajun food! Bar type atmosphere

Triple J's used to be good but I heard it's not as good as it used to be.

I always enjoy Orlando's. Great pizza and the mafia queso is also good. Frosted Schooners as well.

Las Brisas makes a good fillet

Chimmeys is the place to go if you want to hang out with drunk frat guys and sorostitutes.

Guess I need to try Cagles. The best steak I've had so far is honestly at Longhorn. Las Brisas sucks
