Which do you prefer. I've got a 16' open, quad pod type stand that over looks a couple open fields. Deer sightings have been pretty low all season. Wondering if I need to head into the brush and get where they seem to be traveling instead of trying to coax them out with corn.

I grew up hunting the woods and spent the past few years hunting open mesquites. I get a lot more excited over see a deer appear out of no where in the woods very close to your stand.

Put together a brush blind this morning after I got out of the stand. Well see what happens tomorrow. I'll take some corn to throw out when I get there in the morning.

On a side note, what type quad pod do you have? I am going to buy myself a Christmas present this year and have been looking at the muddy renegade.

It's been my experience the best spots are close to the thickest, nastiest brush you can find. Find their trail they use going in and out and set up close by with a feeder.
They make ammo specifically for hunting for a reason!

I'll take wide open spaces every time, whether it's better or not.

Well, I didn't make it out this morning. 3 early mornings in a row plus 7 craft beers at our company Christmas party last night til midnight meant I couldn't get out of bed this morning.
