If it's wild or aggressive, SSS.

If it's not I'd take it to animal control myself so the owners have to pay a fine to claim it or it's toast if the don't. Either way, problem solved.

These dogs show no signs of aggression, I don't have the heart to kill them,I have been putting bones and scraps out when I hunt to draw in hogs, I'm going to stop giving them a reason to come by and see if that helps. I very likely created the issue so I will see if the lack of food gets my feeder off their route.

Excellent bg! Most would never fess up to baiting in the dogs inadvertently. I'll tell my dogs what a friend you are.

Take the bones to the owner if you know who, and they will stay home to work on the bones.

It just seems to me, with limited experience at this, that most of the time there is another, albeit more difficult, way to handle dogs that SSS.

For the first time yesterday when I checked the game camera a dog(a big Great Pyrenees) without collar showed up. Wondered why nothing had been coming around. I'm a dog lover, but this sucks.

Well the GP will not be a stray, it is somebody's livestock guard so don't shoot that dog, could cost you big time. Those dogs have a good coat so collar might be there and not visible. I might try to approach him if given the chance, but carefully and slowly as these guys are big and fierce. Have a big sidearm and a smile, maybe a dog treat. If friendly you got your answer on the collar or a great new dog.
