Had two out of state hunts, a west Texas trip, a few hill country sits and one duck hunt so far. More or less halfway done, here is where we are at so far. Archery antelope in Wyoming, mid August:  Opening day of central zone dove. Got back just in time to make the opener. Quick limit thst morning  Shot at this sika at 22 yards....didn't clear the window and the arrow shot thru the blind. Clean miss  Went to colorado, no elk but I did find out I could survive a blizzard  Gf wanted to shoot a deer, she hunted as a kid and teenager but not since, shot her first deer in 12 years  Her son with his first buck he shot this morning  Her friend also killed her first deer this morning. Lots of first time hunters this year  Pretty much let them do the shooting, may try and clean up some does with my bow but my mind has just about turned to ducks and off of the 4 legged critters. Do still wanna go after that axis though he has been shot at by 3 different people and still is on his feet
For it is not the quarry that we truly seek, but the adventure.
